New Year Giveaway!

Happy New Year!

I've been remiss in my blogging while the children have been off school for the last couple of weeks, but as I haven't been painting, I thought there were only a limited amount of frosty walk photos people would want to see! Instead I have been enjoying time with my family - my husband has had some rare time off work - and precious things , such as riding our ponies, and reading books, and the joy of browsing new seed catalogues and planning how this year we really are going to have a shot at self sufficiency. ( I say this every year, but then struggle to put enough time in)

I also made the decision to close my Ebay store. Fees are so high, and Etsy is just a so much nicer place to be. I will still list originals on Ebay as I have some wonderful customers there, but will keep the whole print inventory on Etsy.

So, for the last couple of days I have been making new ACEO prints ( namely the rabbits above), and have several to list. I make them in limited editions of 9, and back them with stiff coloured cardstock, and then trim to exact size ( 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches) before popping into a snug acid free sleeve. They are titled, numbered and signed on the back. It is pretty time consuming , but I love the way that backing them with coloured card makes them look so much more substantial - little treasures in their own right.

And finally, that brings me to the giveaway!
I am going to give away a set of 10 ACEO's - perfect for someone just starting their collection, or ideal to give as little gifts to friends. There will be a choice of three 'themes'. The winner can choose either a 'CROW' collection, a 'FANTASY ' collection (fairies and unicorns/pegasus) or a 'HORSE' collection ( non- fantasy horses).
It will be a draw, open to anyone , whichever country you live in, with just one condition of entry: You need to check out the ACEOs in my Etsy store, and choose 1 favourite which fits in one of the three collections. Leave a comment after this post, including the title of your chosen ACEO. If you win, I will send you the ACEO of your choice, and 9 others to fit the theme. Hope that makes sense! If you don't have a blogger account, you can leave an anonymous comment, with your name - just remember to check back and see if you have won!
I will draw a random name from the hat on Sunday 11th January, 9 o'clockish UK time!

Happy New Year!

YAY! Pick me, pick me!! :)
I love the Topsy paint horse in your non-fantasy horse themed ACEOs. We have a paint quarter horse, but she is a palomino paint. Little blondie with blue eyes! And she lives up to her name ---Sassy.

Danielle, you are so generous and so talented!!! ... I love your work... and especially your Ravens... in particular the "Crow on Sheep Skull".. as I am enthralled with skulls too.. what a perfect combination... although to choose between any of your pieces was very difficult...

My kids use to have pet rabbits and one was called Linty.. as every time we picked him up he would nibble lint balls off our sweaters...

Also loved the pictures from your walk especially where the trees appeared as an arched passageway...

so hard to chose one favorite... I think my favorite of the ACEO cards is the "home to roost" one, the imagery, painting and drawing all work together so well.

(My favorite of your prints is the "crow contemplates the moon")

Both are masterpieces so I can't decide between The Apple Bough and The Scribe from your Crow series. You are immensely talented!

I've got a great picture framer, who would do a wonderful job mounting and framing the ACEOs from the one theme together.

Happy New Year and many thanks for the giveaway.

Gah...Danielle, how can you make me choose just one! :)

I think it's a toss up between 'The Scribe' & 'The Astronomer' from the Crow series!

All fantastic, & whoever wins is extremely lucky to recieve a set!!

My favorite is THE CARTOGRAPHER. I love crows. We had a pet 1 when I was a child. Now my sisters and Mom laugh that my dad has been reincarnated as a crow. Last March, when my 19 year old was having major surgery, a crow cam and sat on the windowsill of the 2nd floor waiting room where I was.He sat their the whole time and did not budge!! I'm sure it was Dad!!!

Hmmm. How fun. You've got some beautiful art in your Etsy. What talent you have.
Thank you for visiting my blog and following it, too. I've done the same for you and look forward to visiting again soon.

If I had to choose from all of them, which is really quite difficult, I'd choose "Summer Meadow gypsy vanner" because the horse reminds me of my mare.

Thank you :)

Sooooooooo difficult to choose just one favorite - they're all just wonderful! If I must choose though, I'll say "the Herbalist". Having an affinity for crows and herb gardening, this one jumped out at me. :)

Your work is absolutely breathtaking!

Shallow Stream is my favorite, I have a special place in my heart for spotted horses. I love the pics of your Dartmoor ponies--I have a Welsh Arab pony and an Icelandic...and he is a beautiful silver dapple, dark chocolate with golden white mane and tail.

Anyway, I love your art, I always check out the horse art when I'm on Etsy. I saw your spotted horse there...My etsy store is spirithorsegallery.
