Introductions

Well, it's been nearly two weeks, and I guess you are all waiting for me to introduce you to the new arrival! Here he is, Captain Kao, a truly gentle soul. He's about 14.1hh, rising 6, and rather wide eyed about the different landscape, but very keen to please. We are taking things very slowly, walking mainly at the moment as hills are a new concept to him, and I'm having to save up for a new saddle, as I'm not entirely happy with the one he has on right now.
I will get out with the camera in the sunshine soon and get some new photos.

I finally finished my commissions - here is another 'Story Portrait' of Chloe and Benjamin. I really enjoyed doing this one! It's pretty big for me - nearly A3 size. And a little gilded fox, rather snooty looking!
I've lots of new work to show you, but I'm just getting it properly photographed for prints first.

Love the fox and the adventure painting. And Captain Kao is such a sweetie - as you say, very wide-eyed about the whole thing. Good luck saddle-saving!

He looks a lovely lad. Good luck with him!
My friend bought a Heather Moffat treeless saddle ( Pheonix?) last year and has been really pleased with it. Her narrow fronted NF is difficult to fit for a conventional saddle.

Love the coloring of Captain Kao! Will look forward to new photos of him in the future.

The adventure painting is gorgeous!

He's quite beautiful... or, I imagine he might prefer it if I said handsome - all fluffy in his winter wear! Good luck with him.

I think the painting of Chloe and Benjamin is gorgeous! I love it! I might be a bit prejudiced, as I already love both Chloe and Benjamin AND your work but I think it's fantastic! Thank you again. I also love the fox, and I think Captain Kao is very handsome.

How handsome! I have always had a "thing" for coloured ponies, as my first pony was a skewbald.
I did like the paintings, what made you use gold behind the fox? it really works, I love it.
