'Boris and Bracken'
Oh my! It seems two weeks have flown by, and I have barely had a chance to go near my computer! I'm sorry - things are happening so fast here, it feels a bit like my life has been turned upside down ( in a good way!). It has made me stop and think a bit about this blog. There are lots of things I am starting to work on with the horses which I would like to document as I go, but I am worried that putting it here will bore my loyal readers ( well, many of you - I know there are one or two who are as horse obsessed as I am!). So, this is my question - should I include a bit more of the horsey stuff here, or should I start a separate blog just for that? Your opinions would be gratefully received ;)
In between taking large steps forward with my life, and listening to Regina Spektor ( listen above if you don't know her work - she's fab!) I have been out with the dogs in this glorious sunshine, taking pictures of stone walls and hedge banks for my latest foxy painting. Here is a little peek - I'll show you the whole thing as soon as it is finished!

I like the music.
Horse blog would be interesting and if it's mainly 'musings' I think it would be interesting to read on your regular blog because it's a part of you and your passage through and into life.
If, on the other hand its telling horse people what to do then thats not so fascinating.
However, a separate horse blog would attract a whole new crowd to your artwork.
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your art. And I , for one, would love to hear more about the horses, especially if it comes with pictures.
I came here for the horses but I continue to read your blog for the art! So I love both. That is my vote.
I don't think I was suggesting telling horse people what to do, simply documenting my own progress ;)
I'm so rubbish at taking the camera out with me when I'm with the horses.I am resolved to carry it more often!
Thankyou all :)
I just found your blog and am enjoying it immensely. I am an artist and an animal lover and, though not very "horsie", I've enjoyed reading back through your posts and seeing the beautiful horses and learning about your life on the farm. So, I'm sure I'll continue to visit and enjoy if there's a bit more of horses on the blog.

A beautiful fox drawing - can't wait to see it painted...
Art and horses in equal measure I'm sure would be lovely!
I potter round primarily on arty blogs, but many years ago I had a lovely young cob, so it brings back memories of long bareback summer hacks (and knee deep winter mud!!)
Would be delighted to see anything you do on horses, Love your art it reminds me a bit of N.C. Wyath. And by the by any words of wisdom of your experiences with your equine pals to me would be both entertaining and enlightning, especially since you must have a different perspective from me here in the southwest us desert.
when I count my blessings, I count my horse twice!
As a horse crazy person my vote is by all means post as horsey as you like ! I do without regard to my readers.. they surely know I'm horse obsessed so they either like it or excuse it.....
I have always enjoyed reading about your art and horse doings!
I've been away too - (different reasons though!)
These paintings and drawings of the dogs are wonderful Danielle, your art gets more lovely each time.xx
I love those lurchers, the hairy one, Bracken looks just like one of my girls! yes to the horsey stuff, I miss pony-owning and would welcome a regular fix :D
it's your blog, do as you please! not being a horsey person, i will just speed read through those parts and stop at the pictures. i love your pictures!
I would read your blog however you choose to proceed, especially as I am one of the horsey nuts :)
I have two blogs mainly because the Studio is purely to compliment the website when it gets going. Even so, it's hard to keep Merlin out of it!
A second blog would be a good way to document your journey with the horses, so from that angle it may be a good idea :)
I know the feeling!! Life gets like that sometimes doesn't it?
I love Boris & Bracken!! hehe...
And as for the horses, I am happy to read about them here...I may not have an awful lot to say on the topic, not having any experience with them, but I like to be nosey into peoples lives...hehe...
That said, if you had a horse blog I would 'follow' that aswell :) xxx
Just found your blog - I greatly enjoy the art-horse-life nature of it. I enjoy your watercolors immensely, as an artist myself I find I am drawn to your images, both art and photographs. I would love to hear more about your life with your horses, but I must admit my bias - I have the honor of sharing my life with a most lovely mare for more than twenty years.
Thankyou so much for taking time to answer, everyone - that seems to be a resounding 'yes'!
Danielle, I find all you put into your blog... horses, plants, countryside, art, etc all a joy to read and view!
Adding more horse photos and topics would be wonderful...but then that is coming from a major horse lover.:0)
I love the fox and I also really enjoy the horsey/pony news. Really who doesn't find that they need a good nettle detox recipe now and then.
