A Little House on a Hill

This is Marlene, all dressed up for going a-visiting. My daughter thought the special occasion warranted it! I had heard from Terri Windling that the Travelling Hermitage had arrived, and as I regularly read Rima's wonderful blog and love her work, we wandered over the hill and paid a visit.

There are times when immersed in blogland, that I pause and think to myself - this is just an illusion! We 'meet' people on our virtual wanderings, and build relationships, and count some of them as real friends, and yet we only really ' know' an online persona. The person behind it could be entirely different from the image they project. ( I'm sure that most are not, but these are the things I start to think of when I feel I have spent too much time on the computer, and not enough time connected to the real world!) It was wonderfully refreshing to meet Rima and Tui, and find that they are just as nice in real life as they appear in Rima's blog!
They were kind and welcoming, and it was lovely to see them and their wagon, tucked away in a secluded spot, a haven of calm and beauty on a hot afternoon!

I've recently come across Rima's blog, Danielle, so what synchronicity that you have visited them while on their travels. And look at Marlene looking very stunning, thanks to your daughter's sense of occasion. Wonderful! xx

Oh gonna go look at her blog. I love it when I meet people I follow in the real world. I have to remember some days that - they are seperate in some ways and to keep it in mind that I don't spend my life on the computer! I continue to believe that people are good - unless I find otherwise.
The pony and your daughter - stunning!! What great subject matter you have for your art - no wonder you are so full of magic! Have a great week hon, Sarah

How lovely that your daughter thought this special visit deserved"dressing" up for, i love the work of Rima & Tui both, amazingly creative folks & i admire to their 4 wheeled adventurers spirit. I so understand those blogger IT thoughts, i am trying to limit how much time i spend on here, or i shall never get any works done! i have met so amy lovley folks on line & when u live in the back of beyond real live, like minded arty folks are a bit thin on the ground sometimes *ruthie*

How fun that you went to visit them and that your daughter dressed so charmingly for the visit.
Blogland is quite the unique experience. I have met very few people from blogland in person, yet I have experienced many meaningful, generous and precious interactions with people.

How wonderful to meet Rima and Tui, they have been such an inspiration to me. Although I'm not nearly as brave as to take up a travelling life ;)
