Hooray!! I have internet access again! Just in time for Illustration Friday, so 'Celebrate ' is a fitting topic. This week's entry is an illustration I did for a greetings card last summer.
And here are the beginnings of the latest painting in the series of fox and crow illustrations. This one is huge ( for me) approx 14 x 20 inches. I was really pleased with the start, but it's reached that awkward 2/3rds of the way through stage, where paintings always look awful! They always do this though, so I shan't panic till it's nearly finished - and then I will panic if it still looks awful!

I love the happy faces on your I.F. entry. And I know what you mean about the awkward stages paintings go through, although this looks great to me so far! Love the trees and the little fox and the sunbeams!
This is going to be stunning. I love it even like this.
Love Renee
Your work is great! I love the expressions on their faces! I can't wait to see the finished piece with the fox!
Your paintings and their subjects speak to my soul, and they are lovely even at the early stages.
both of these are wonderful. I see no reason to have concern!
Lovely fairies! And the fox and crow are looking marvelous too! Welcome back to cyberspace. I guess Friday the 13th was luck for you!
Beautiful illustrations.
And I find the crow with fox is already stunning! WOW!!!!!
:)
another beautiful illustration for I.F. and the second painting will be magical when it is finished..
I have an award for you on my blog...
ooh! Sweet! I really like the way you 'go with the flow' of the watercolour, and let it speak for itself yet being controlled at the same time!
Hello,
Just a quick email to say that although I am taking all my followed blogs off of my blog I have put a link to your etsy shop on the fairysteps website. Hope this is OK. Its fun reading your blog and i will continue to do so.... Im just not doing any more blogging myself! The blog will be used as a stock update page only... so not so much fun for readers!
Take care, Ren x
These are amazing Danielle, By the way I've tagged you, bit like being shot by a rhino dart, but I'm sure you have lots of interesting things we dont know about you yet!!Lindax
Lovely celebration Danielle and the painting in progress is beautiful - love your style and can't wait to see it finished.
Ooo, looks wonderful!
I'm listening to your playlist while I paint today. Lots of favourites in there!
Magical paintings. I love the sunlight streaming through the trees.
I really really like the figures in you IF entry....well, the whole thing actually, but especially their faces.
And I know what you mean by those stages where it looks terrible (not that I think these do at all). But yes, faith that it will turn out in the end, and that stage is all part of the process.....
I've been catching up and saw the final version first. I love seeing the process!
Your work rocks.
