This week I have walked in the Wild Wood.
Peered over walls
and been inspired by this magical, mythical landscape in which I live.
More prosaically, the wolf has watched her boy climb trees - the one place she cannot join him.
I have begun work on a new piece - a song of Winter, forming slowly.
'Across Waye Hill'
ink and watercolour
And I have managed two other pieces this week. A quick landscape that you may recognise from last week's photos.
And this :
'The Moth Magician'
I love this one, and am reluctant to part with it. However, prints of her are now in my Etsy shop :)

Stunning photographs & artwork x
They are beautiful.
All of these paintings are really beautiful, Danielle. I feel some sort of shift in your work... what do you think? I really LOVE the Song of Winter so far... can't wait to see it completed. Winter blessings!
Beautiful....I particularly like the Waye Hill one. x
Beautiful. All of it.
It is a beautiful, mythical & Magical landscape you live in!
I love your recent work, such beauty!
Just beautiful, as always.
Wonderful pics and beautiful art, love the
Moth Magician. Brilliant work..
Beautiful work.
Those images are super creative, you are the artist that this world is waiting for, I hope you will reach your greatest potential because you are one of a kind. Great job, keep up the good work!
Zero Dramas
I always enjoy seeing what you are creating and admire your paintings. And your ponies too!
i've been lost, just found you again. i love the moth girl.
I've been away for a while, So happy to read your blog again!
Danielle, your work is absolutely gorgeous - I love it! Have you ever illustrated a book? There are some aspects of your style that would lend your work beautifully to book illustration - although they stand authoritatively in their own right, too.
What talent. :)
Thankyou everyone :)
Valerianna - yes, there is a shift. I think it's just that I am allowing the work is be much more personal and intuitive, instead of proscribed, and safe. I'm painting for me, rather than for the market!
Velma and Cenya - lovely to see you back :)
Austin - thankyou! Hmmm, I'd love to illustrate a book, but my style doesn't really fit current fashions. I think hand painted illustrations are almost obsolete in our digital age (at least, talk with professional illustrators suggests this)
